The note was issued by Store Norske. Store Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani A/S was established in 1915 under the name “Det norske spitsbergensyndikatet”. It then acquired a number of smaller companies: Arctic Coal Company, the coalfields at Green Harbour in Grønfjorden, A/S Kulspids and Norske Spitsbergen Kulkompani A/S. On 30 November 1916 the syndicate was converted into a limited liability company. Nominal value: 25 øre, a common denomination The note has been signed by Knut Ertsaas and Johan Anker. Knut Ertsaas was company secretary of Store Norske 1946-47, 1954-57 and 1964. Johan Anker was chairman of Store Norske 1928-41. The note has one stamp: Governor of Svalbard The note has one fault: The note has coffee stains on it.
